SIR CROCODILE

"Desert King" Sir Crocodile, aka Mr. Zero is a former warlord of the sea, leader of Alabasta-based crime syndicate "Baroque Works" and current head officer of Cross Guild. While it is stated that "Sir Crocodile" is simply an epithet, his real name remains unknown. After witnessing the execution of Gol D. Rodger at age 19, he took to the seas to become a pirate, quite successfully at that. He was asked to join the Shichibukai in just his early twenties due to his fearsome reputation, but after suffering a great loss at the hands of the Whitebeard Pirates he became much more of a shadowy figure, settling in the desert nation of Alabasta for the next twenty years.

Crocodile holds the powers of the Suna Suna no Mi, a logia type devil fruit which alllows him to both turn his body into sand & control any sand around him. He can also absorb moisture all from an object with his right hand. With a touch he can wither people and plants away, as well as turn the ground itself into sand. Alongside that, the hook that replaces his left hand is coated with a powerful poison harvested from scorpions which only he has the antidote for. Besides the sheer power and near invincibility of logia powers, Crocodile is incredibly cunning, able to run the massive crime organization "Baroque Works" without even the government or his own subordinates knowing his true identity.

After being defeated by Monkey D Luffy in their third battle in Alabasta, Crocodile's position as a Shichibukai was revoked and he was sent to the Marine prison "Impel Down". Due to his fearsome power and status, he was kept in the secret lowest level along with other infamous prisoners such as ex-shichibukai Jinbei and Whitebeard's second division commander Fire Fist Ace. When Luffy broke into Impel Down on a mission to rescue Ace, he came across Crocodile yet again, who offered to help them escape with the power of his logia fruit. He would not only help Luffy and others escape, but saved Luffy's life multiple times at the battle of Marineford while also dueling powerful foes such as Donquixote Doflamingo, Dracule Mihawk and all three Marine Admirals. After this, Crocodile would lay low for a few years, remerging after the dissulution of the Shichibukai in order to team up with Dracule Mihawk and Buggy the Clown in order to form Cross Guild.

Crocodile's most recognizable features are his hook hand and the large horizontal scar across his face, which are both presumed to be results of his failed duel with Whitebeard. His bounty is currently 1,965,000,000 beri, and while his first bounty was quite low, that was due to his role as Mr. Zero not being known to the World Government. His favorite food is tomatoes, his least favorite is ketchup, and his favorite animal is the crocodile, but specifically his pet bananawanis. Due to the supposed debt he owes Ivankov of the revolutionary army and his face never being shown in flashbacks, it is suspected that Crocodile is a transgender man, and transitioned thanks to Ivankov's hormone swapping powers. His birthday is September 9th and his childhood dream was to become pirate king.
